How to clear out an office before a lease ends
Lease-end pressure is usually about time, elevators, and who is allowed on the loading dock—not about finding another dumpster brand. For desks, cubicles, and filing cabinets use office furniture removal. Broader mixed junk belongs on commercial junk removal.
Checklist
- Walk the floor and list bolted cubicles versus loose chairs
- Ask building management about elevator and dock windows
- Photograph each room for the estimate
- Separate electronics and anything that may be regulated
- Decide whether leftover renovation materials go on the same visit
Staff should not spend a moving day carrying filing cabinets if a crew can load them.
